Joseph A. Brady Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joseph Brady Jr. of Jackson NJ passed away on the morning of May 15th, 2022. Joe was born in Carbondale, PA on September 12th, 1958, and as a young man was an accomplished Eagle Scout. He attended Bloomsburg University and earned a degree in business. Joe also attended Penn State University and received a degree in computer science. He later moved to New Jersey to start his career with AT&T, and later went on to work with Lucent and IBM. It was here he met his wife of 32 years, Kathy, and had his beautiful family. Joe was a fitness enthusiast and enjoyed running, biking, hiking and swimming. He was always up for an outdoor adventure, especially with his family. Joe was a passionate and devoted father, always encouraging his children to be their very best. You could always count on dad to pick you up from school when you were sick, attend every gymnastics meets and dance competition, and attend every college visit. He was always there for whatever his family needed. Joe taught his children to be kind, to pursue their dreams, and the importance of family. One his daughter's best memories is swimming in the ocean with her dad. Though she was always a little nervous in the big waves, she felt completely safe when she was with her dad. Another great memory with his daughter is being class dad and attending all her game days, and school craft days. As a husband, Joe was loving and supportive. He provided strength, stability, and optimism. His wife, Kathy, remembers him making her tea and placing it on her night table and packing her lunch every morning before work. Family was Joe's greatest priority. Joe will be remembered for his incredible strength and bravery. He always had a positive attitude even during difficult times. He was a generous person who helped uplift and support others, even through his own challenges. As a devoted Christian, Joe's faith was essential and guided him throughout his life. Though he is now at peace in heaven, Joe's spirit continues to live on through his family. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Janice Brady. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Brady, his two daughters, Samantha Wietsma and Kassandra Vassos, his two son-in-laws, Derek Wietsma and Michael Vassos, his grandson to be, Alex, and his mother-in-law, Gaetana Rencewicz. Joe is deeply loved and will be forever missed. Joe fought a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease that took him from all of us too soon. We pray you will be in our midst always. For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11. Now you are forever at peace and have the joy of being with the Lord.
