Earl T. Arena Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On July 3, 2022 the world lost a truly unique, one of a kind individual, Earl Timothy Arena. Earl loved spoiling his kids, taking care of our animals, swimming in the ocean, motorcycles, talking with his friend, getting together with his family, collecting, going to flea markets, modern art, painting, gardening, talking about cars, boxing, walking around the lake, and a good glass of bourbon. If Earl was not home, the first place we would find him would be Harvest, our local coffee shop where he would be hanging with his friend talking over a cup of coffee. Some of Earl's happiest times involved cooking for his family. He would often make a "buffet" of food to make sure everyone got what they wanted, and no one went hungry. Worrying came easily to Earl. If one of us were out of the house, we would start getting texts with updates on the weather and the traffic so we could head home, and he could stop worrying about us. If Earl was at a gathering, he would leave knowing everyone there and something about them. He loved talking to people and was genuinely interested in their lives. He would always say to ask people questions and listen because people like that. Earl was an accomplished artist. His time designing sports trading cards for Fleer was when he really excelled. It gave him the outlet to be creative and think differently which was one of his many talents. This past year Earl was able to see how many people loved his card designs and how cherished they were. We are grateful he knew that people appreciated all of the hard work and heart he put into his work. I think what Earl will be most remembered for is his dry sense of humor. Many times, people would tell his family he was the funniest person they knew. It was another way he could make people laugh and enjoy themselves. Earl is survived by his wife Jean and his children Morgan and Ian who are going to miss him beyond words, his siblings Charles, Theresa and John, and his nieces and nephews, Alexis, Jonathan, Cailin, Travis, Amanda, Kristin, Stephen, David, and Caroline. He is also survived by many friends and neighbors. A memorial will be held at Saint Mary's of the Lakes in Medford New Jersey on Saturday July 9th, at 10:00am with a mass following. We are having a Celebration of Earl's life back at our house after the mass.
