Charles Jackson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Reverend Charles Robbins Jackson age 91, of Atco, NJ formerly of Bordentown, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 9th,2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born in Springfield, MA, was a graduate of Salem High School, Salem, NJ. He earned a BA from Eastern Baptist College and a Bachelors of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary In Philadelphia Pa. Rev.Jackson was an ordained Baptist minister, serving in many church communities in Burlington, Camden, and Ocean County. He served as pastor of the Goshen and Hopewell Baptist Churches. Columbus Baptist Church from 1961 to 1967 and 1st Baptist Church of Bordentown from 1967- 1981. He served as an Administrator and Pastor of the Baptist Home of South Jersey, and the Methodist Home.He continued serving as part time pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton and Lakewood Baptist in Lakewood, NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Carmault Benjamin Jackson and Mabel Robbins Jackson, a brother Carmault B. Jackson and a sister, Ruth Jackson Jenkins He is survived by his wife Sandra Newman Jackson; a sister Esther Jackson, 4 sons Stephen and Gerri Jackson, David and Tyla Jackson, John and Beth Jackson, William Strobel and Jeannie Zimmerman and a daughter Carolyn Strobel Jervas and Nicholas Jervas. He will be greatly missed by his 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Bordentown, 127 Prince St, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Hospice 3906 Church Rd., Mt Laurel, NJ 08054. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
