Lucy Jane Blose Diamond Lucy Jane, formally of the Pittsburgh area, Fairless Hills and Fallsington, PA died at her home in Browns Mills, NJ with her husband of 21 years Joseph Diamond at her side Sunday, September 23, 2007. She was 77 years old. Lucy Jane lived most of her life in Falls Township, PA. She was active in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Church Choir and Church functions. At age 41 she graduated first in her class in Nursing School after being a stay at home mom for 22 years. She worked at Silver Lake Nursing Home and Twinning Village in PA, as well as Helene Fuld Medical Center in NJ until she retired in the early 90’s. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Josephine Gamble; brother, Joseph; and a sister Patricia. Also, her ex husband and best friend of 38 years, Edgar N. Blose, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Birely (Chuck) of Levittown, PA; two granddaughters, Lara & Stephanie Kazan; three step-children, Alvin Diamond of NV, Alzy Diamond of NC and Mignon Thorpe of NJ; five step grandchildren; four sisters, Vivian Schmidt (Paul), Shirley Shoop, Carol Shane (Bill); Harriet Hutchinson; two half sisters, Judith & Katherine; and many nieces & nephews all from western PA. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. Visitation will be Friday from 1PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
