Albert L. de Charleroy

Browns Mills – Albert L. de Charleroy, 91, of the Country Lakes section of Browns Mills, died Wednesday at home. Born in Norwood, he was a longtime resident of Browns Mills. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. Albert was a United States Army veteran of World War II, Korea and Viet Nam, retiring as a Lt. Colonel after twenty-seven years. During his service he received several medals, including the Silver Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star w/V device and 3 OLC, C.I.B. and the Purple Heart. Son of the late Charles & Nellie Degener de Charleroy; he is survived by his loving wife, Helen Dorothy Joost de Charleroy; two sons & daughters-in-law, Charles R. & Carol de Charleroy of Browns Mills and Albert L. & Jean de Charleroy of Great Falls, VA; and four grandchildren, Charles, Jr., Jason, Gregory, and Gregory Favita. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 18th at 10:00am at the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills. Burial will follow at the B.G.W.C.D. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
