| Browns Mills Claire Marie Webb Ellis, 59, of Browns Mills, NJ died at home on September 4th following a lengthy illness. Born in Brighton, MA Mrs. Ellis lived in Bristol, PA; as well as Mercerville and Spotswood, NJ; before moving to Browns Mills 12 years ago. She worked at various jobs in the food service industry and was one of the first female managers hired by McDonalds. Most recently, she was a realtor with Century 21 Van Horn Agency and was also employed by Nade National Automobile Dealers Exchange. Claire was an avid sports fan and supporter of the many teams on which her husband and son played. She was one of the first women members of the Varsity High School Soccer Referees of NJ. The only child of Theresa and Mason Webb. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband of 33 years, Hoyt E. Ellis and their son Hoyt Kenneth Ellis. Other children are Sean Kevin Dempsky, Dawn Stegmaler, her children Joseph and Shannon; and Frank Dempsky, his wife, Joelle and their daughters; Haley, Alexis and Megan. She also leaves three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Beulah E. Baker, Marion R. Fugill, Lois Jakubowski and Benjamin Jakubowski; her nephew Gregory Jakubowski, his wife Tami and their children Danielle, Kristen, Kimberly and Andrea. Funeral services will be held at St. Anns Church, 22 Trenton Road in Browns Mills, NJ on Wednesday, September 10th at 10 am. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Arrangements are under the direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Rd., Browns Mills, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
